Disneyland

(More pictures below) Steven had a conference at the Disneyland Convention Center so we all went along for a ride as wild as a roller coaster. We were gone for 6 days and at Disney for 5 days, one of which Steven joined us for the day. Otherwise he came over at night and once during lunch. Our hotel was on the south end of Disney across the street from the convention center. They upgraded us to a suite upon arrival and it worked out very well! The hotel was great. Disney was SUPER crowded; I couldn't believe it! Our first visit was at night during the week, both supposedly slow, but most of the time there, it was hard to walk around with the double stroller-it was so busy. Locals said it actually wasn't too bad. In the 5 days, the kids and I went on nearly every ride in both parks, with Steven's help, of course, since Kate wasn't allowed on several. Rachel's favorites were California Screaming (the wildest roller coaster) and Splash Mountain. Andrew's favorites were the Ferris Wheel (we rode the car that is freehanging and rolls down with every tilt-feeling like a roller coaster) and the Matterhorn bobsleds (roller coaster). Kate's favorite was walking around on the ground while we waited for Steven and the kids to ride. She was pleasant and happy the whole trip. But it made for super long days and a really worn out Mom! We spent the afternoons at the pool at the hotel and stopped for meals, but otherwise went constantly. Whew! Now I won't plan that again until they are all teenagers and can fend for themselves.

Oh, man! This looks so fun! I love Disney... never been to Disneyland, but I'm sure it's just as fun as Disney World. These are great pictures. Too bad Steven didn't get to spend more time in the parks!
